Get out at the Weekend! Book our Family Friendly Trike, we will drop our trike off at Strathclyde Park for you, all you have to do is bring the kids! This trike can can be ridden by 1 adult and 2 children 8 and under. Minimum child age 18 months. We can provide safety helmets for a small fee payable on the day, please advise what you require on your booking. Cancellation Policy
Newmains On Wheels This service is provided by Newmains Community Trust & Cairney Cycles. Cancellations up to 24 hours before booking - no refunds after this point, but bookings can be re-arranged by contacting the team. TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. If you have any mechanical issues during the rental agreement period you must call our team member on site and bring the bike back for immediate assessment, do not ride the bike if in doubt. 2. Modification to the bicycle or equipment is not permitted, this includes fitting any accessories outside the ones provided as part of the scheme. Bags such as panniers, saddle and frame bags are allowed but must be appropriate for the load and fitting on bike, any damages incurred with modification will forfeit deposit, so Newmains Community Trust advise you discuss before fitting any bags to your hire bike. 3. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum child age 18 months. 4. The renter is responsible for the safety of passengers and must ensure they stay strapped in while the bike is moving. 5. You accept that cycling has risks and confirm that you are a competent cyclist. You should not ride if you are in ill health, have a disability likely to affect ability to cycle, or your eyesight is not up to the standard required by a road driving test. Do not ride under the influence of alcohol, strong medication, or other drugs. It is strongly advised that you and any passengers wear a helmet and use other appropriate safety equipment and bright reflective clothing. Front and rear lights are required in hours of reduced light and are always advisable during the day to attract attention. 6. Please follow the highway code. Do not ride, against traffic, or more than two abreast. Do not run red lights. Be courteous to pedestrians and other road users. Ride responsibly: do not attempt any manoeuvres beyond your skill level or the bike’s specific capabilities. 7. The Newmains on Wheels project aims to provide access to the bikes at an affordable price, we expect you as the temporary custodian of the equipment to look after it well and treat it like your own. We take no responsibility for injury caused through improper use of this service. It is advisable that you get personal & third liability insurance by joining certain clubs such as Scottish Cycling. 8. Newmains On Wheels and Newmains Community trust reserve the right to seek compensation for any damage sustained because of improper use of this equipment.
